Who and what:

"I want to make my country safe for my people"  Aki Ra, founder & deminer. The Cambodia Landmine Museum was opened by former child soldier Aki Ra to promote mine awareness and education for both tourists and Cambodians using his impressive collection of mines and UXO. The facility cares for children affected by mines and poverty, providing them with a home and school.

The experience:

Visit our museum and learn more about landmines and UXO as well as historical information on the country’s tumultuous past. Take a walk around a mock garden full of deactivated hidden mines and booby traps. Challenge yourself by searching for them.

From Hanuman:

Some of the deepest scars from Cambodia's civil war lie just inches beneath the surface. These enemies within still claim the lives of more than 100 people each year and Aki Ra has dedicated his life to clearing them from Cambodian soil. This centre is both educational and moving and well worth a visit together with the beautiful temple of Banteay Srei. Aki Ra is available for guided tours for special interest groups.
