Who and what:
The Traditional Arts and Ethnology Centre is a museum dedicated to the ethnic cultures of Laos. The Centre exhibits ethnic clothing, household objects, religious artefacts, and handicrafts, with information in English and Lao languages. Our objective is to help locals and foreigners learn about the different ethnic groups of northern Laos.
The experience:
Learn about the amazing ethnic diversity of Laos. You will see artefacts and information from the Akha, Hmong, Yao, Lanten, Tai Dam and Khmu. Book a guided tour. Visit the Museum Shop to buy handicrafts directly from ethnic communities at fair-trade prices. Sip a coffee or have a sandwich in Le Patio Café.
